Sustainability statement
I'm committed to infusing sustainability into every facet of my artistic journey.
The paper used for my prints is uncoated and made from 100% genuine de-inked post consumer waste and is FSC® certified. Made in an industry leading mill to strict ISO 14001 standards for environmental management, it is processed chlorine free (PCF) significantly reducing water contamination from processing. Unavoidable emissions from production, are carbon offset by the manufacturer through the World Land Trust.
The inks used for producing my prints is a dry toner system. Although I don’t have access to the exact ingredients of the inks, which are closely guarded by the manufacturer; what I know is that they are partly made from organic biomass, as well as being food safe and non-toxic. All 4 inks are made with organic pigments. The press is also equipped with a toner recycling system for waste, and inks on paper fully comply with standard de-inking processes, so they can be fully recycled at any plant.
I'm actively researching and experimenting with creating my own eco-friendly, vegan watercolour paint - to minimize environmental impact without compromising on quality. In addition I'm actively researching and hoping to discover eco-friendly and vegan alternatives for paintbrushes. By exploring these options, I aim to ensure that every tool I use aligns with my values of sustainability and compassion for all living beings.
I'm driven by a desire to contribute positively to causes that resonate with both myself and my customers and I plan to donate 10% of profits to charity, although I'm still in the process of identifying the most impactful organizations to support.
Looking toward the future, I aspire to invest in a printer that will not only reduce unnecessary shipping-related emissions but also grant me greater control over the papers used for prints. Through these initiatives, I aim to minimize my ecological footprint while delivering wonderful artwork to you.
Thank you for joining me on this journey toward a more sustainable and compassionate future. Together, we can make a meaningful difference—one brushstroke at a time.
